Default new bearlaw?

A guy told me the new trapping reg's state you must keep the bear meat from a harvested bear as of this spring. I could have looked but I figure a few guys on here might know. any truth to this? I bet there will be less kills now if there's any truth to it...New prices on rugs lol

I heard the same thing. I haven't been able to find anything myself that supports its true though.

Keep the meat from a spring bear?
Are the new regs that far along as far as changes for this year?
That's a good question for Ask Fish and Wildlife What's the Law on the Hunting board sticky.

The last question in Ask F&G is about black bear tags. After the answer it states that the hide must be salvaged, it says nothing about the meat. That is from one week ago.
