what kind of wire can i use to snare coyotes and where can i get it?

All the information you need is in your Trappers licence training manual, Trapper Gords, Halford Hides, even Cabellas has "some" on their shelves.

Depends, if you use power snares 1/16 cable will work. I used 3/32 which worked well for regular entanglement setups but make sure you use the regular cam locks and file teeth into them. I used some lightning locks this season and didn't much care for them. Power snares are the way to go. Expensive investment up front but a lot easier to remake sets and replacement snares are cheap.
