Default Springtime and Hundreds of Rainbow Trout at Chain Lakes

These fish might be small, but the stocking of Chain Lakes has been successful over the years. I was surprised to see how large the schools of fish are in this lake.

I was there on Monday the 25th and saw the stocking truck unload for the first time. Really neat to see. Stocking report show they also stocked on 22nd.
Water level really low. I was there on the Monday before too and water level was even lower then had been then.

I was there on April 24th, water is still way down, spring runoff seems to be late, not much water flowing into the lake.

Great post!

Interesting seeing the water level of Chain - this is one of the closer lakes to me and having just bought my first boat I'm glad I saw that there are some options for putting in.

Pretty solid video for production value too! Gave you a follow!
