Default Just bought a tikka t3 hunter and now I need a scope

Im looking to put a scope on my tikka t3 hunter in 30.06 I'm not really sure what would work good with that my price range is $7-800 max. I've been thinking about a Nikon monarch 3-12x42 bdc

A friend of mine mounted a 3-9x40 Zeiss Conquest on his T-3 in 30-06, and he is pleased with the gun, and the scope.

Leupold VX3 or VX3L with the CDS turret, I have the VX3L 4.5x14x50 with a drop in Turret for my 300 win. Dial the yardage in on the turret and fire away. I was also thinking of a Nikon Monarch before I bought the Leupold because it was cheaper, but decided that my gun was expensive, the scope may as well be too

I started putting Zeiss glass on my rifles this year. For $700-800 you can pick up a new Conquest. Great glass in this price range. Also some great deals in the used section here - that is where I have picked up two "next to new" 4.5-14x Conquests in that price range.

Thank you for the suggestions but I'm looking for something in BDC and good for a range of 4-500 yards as I will be doing some target practice outside of hunting season

All the scopes suggested have the option of getting a drop compensating reticle.

Vanessa has a 3.5-10x44 Zeiss Conquest with Rapid Z 600 on her T3 in 30-06. Banging the gong all day long at 500 and 600 yards is no problem.

Just my opinion but I would take the CDS turret with a duplex reticle over just a BDC reticle any day, don't want to start a war but I've heard Nikons don't handle recoil all that great over time

I use turrets to shoot targets, but I prefer a BDC reticle for hunting.

Each to their own I say, I just prefer the plain duplex over an obstructed BDC view
