Default Lac Ste. Anne whitefish?

I’m planning on going to try my luck with whitefish on Lac St. Anne this season. I’ve never been on this lake before and I’m not looking for anyone’s sweet spot but can someone give me some pointers where to start on this lake?
Thanks
Vic

When I was younger (15 - 20 yrs ago) we used to bounce a brass #6 to #8 Len Thompson on the bottom in 15 -25 ft of water. Haven't fished it in a while, might have to head out and get some whites for the smoker, I've still got tags for my walleye as well.

Thanks, I think that if I can find them I should be able to get them to bite. One more weekend of hunting then it is going to be fishing time.

Which part of the lake were they seeing them? Might try it this winter.

Not to hijack things here, but I want to try nailing a few this year on Lac St Anne and have only got pike and walleye so far. So my question is what kind of structure do they hang on? I have heard weed, sand, suspended over both. What is what?

Thanks Mike,
I might give it a try one day this year. I need to try smoking some whites this year. I know look for the trucks at those places.

Thanks again.

I don't target whites to much there anymore, but used to have best luck off sand and reefs, majority caught jigging small silver spoons or wetaskiwins about 4-6 feet off bottom in 10-15 fow.
