Default McGregor on 9/25

Hello everyone!

New to the forum and to the sport!

Headed to McGregor yesterday with a few buddies... The wind was really strong and over the course of 3.5 hours, with 4 rods in the water, only 2 fishes in total were caught... Not our day...

Anyone with better luck there?

My bad...

Yesterday's were pretty small... One was about 30ish cm and the other was just shy of 50cm.

The other time, they were just around 30cm's.

I have fished Mcgregor lots of times and go to the fishing tourny as well.. but not for the last 4 year due to the new rule.... All you need to say is you caught a 27lber and released it lol and you could win lol..

Any ways, I mostly catch EYEs there... I have caught a few big pike 15-25lb range.... North side east side near the bays 40-50 feet from shore with rattlers on deep divers

Haha! Thanks for the welcome!

I don't know FH7, but we've been chatting about local spots, and he's given me some pointers. So hopefully, by next week, I'll have some pics to show progress!

I've fished McGregor a fair bit this year and had success. Mostly bottom bouncing at the bottom of drop offs at .6 to 1.2 MPH. Few weeks ago went south of the Lomond/Vulcan bridge for the first time and caught lots of pike trolling and casting on the east side. Non were large. All things considered, I really like McGregor for walleyes. Rick.

Welcome to the forum.

Never been to Macgregor myself, but I'm looking forward to trying for some whitefish sometime this fall.
