Default Shore fishing Athabasca

Hey guys any shore fishing around the town of Athabasca? I've got three days to kill there with no boat but need to fish. Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks

I've seen people shore fishing the river right in town. Find an eddy and casts spoons or jigs if the water is clear, chuck a pickerel rig with minnows if it's dirty. I imagine there is a local trout pond as well. Not sure where it's located though.

Try for walleye behind the grocery store.
