Are you using Glow Jigs with Minnows? Charge them up once in awhile as they will attract Eyes. Use a Flash from a 35mm Camera does the trick. Thumping the Jig and Minnow on bottom will also bring them in.
Most importantly is your positioning. Eyes relate to stucture, Unless you already have a few GPS points of Humps, point, etc. It's going to be a game of search and find.
Sometimes Eyes will be following Forage around (Perch, Whites)For Mid-Lake Humps, it might take a few holes to locate the fish. Drill holes on the top, Mid and bottom of the Hump. Drop-offs where it goes from 12" to 20" is another good place to look for Eyes. Bear in mind that one day the Eyes could be there and the next moved off.... Electronics will greatly assist when fishing for Eyes.
Night time is the primarily the best but there are times that the bite is great during the day. Pigeon would be a good choice as there is a healthy population of Eyes there and great Structure that Eyes relate to. Good Luck
