Default ((((((Mountain Goat))))))

Since we're doing them we gotta have a goat thread!

Mine, 2008, Alberta goat, 8.5 year old billy, scored 46 4/8, nice mature goat, would have made 47+ but i busted a quarter inch off one horn cleaning him at the car wash, I'm sure most of you have seen this pic, lets see what you have!

Great Thread buddy, Man them are two great pictures right there. Heres a 8 3/4 inch billy i shot up at redfern lake with greg williams.

And this is a monster 9 3/4 inch billy i guided a fella too and the sad part is its only a three year old goat, I could not beleive it when i walked up to it.Just absoltue awsome genetics on this billy.

The goat field pics are always amongst my favourites. The scenery is breathtaking (except for the odd mullet...lol) and it really gives one a good idea of just how tough a hunt it really can be. Thanks for posting boys and congrats as usual.

Hear are two nice Billies. The first one is from Major Hart/Sandpile country. We got this Goat and my friend got a 40" Stone on this trip. The second is from Tuchodi Lakes country. Three of us flew in on this trip and got three Billies. Great memories.

Default 2009 Goat

Here's my archery goat from 2009. Was a great hunt with 2 good friends and we got this guy with a 29 yard shot but I had to shoot for 19 yards due to the 55 degree angle downhill...was all i could do to not fall off the ledge making the shot

Awesome pics guys!! Cant wait to chase some goats next year. I think if I'm not lucky enough to shoot one next year down south I'll head up north on a big trip and find one up there in 2013!

Default BC Goat

Nice Looking goats eveyone!!!

Here my biggest of the few I have shot.

10" 51" B&C shot way back when I was young and could do this stuff every year.

IMO, the hardest animal to hunt is a trophy goat, a poor mans sheep hunt......

Cheers

just curious as to why you would block your face out. Doesn't bother me, just don't understand why people do it.

Quick question. What kind of bow were you shooting? It almost looks like an AR?

You guys make me jealous!
Some real nice goats but I gotta say that the Alberta goat of "Rocks" is my favorite.
Maybe someday.

2010 BC goat 50" net By far the hardest hunt I've been on. Took a full year for both of my big toe nails to grow back!
