Default Hunting/ice fishing in medicine hat

I just got into the hat 2 weeks ago, I'm wanting to get out on some ice and do some fishing. Or some coyote hunting would be great to, just looking to get out meet some like minded people and enjoy the outdoors. I work everyday but sun so that would be the only day for me.(can you hunt on Sundays over here got to get a regs book, anyone know where to get that)
Thanks

Ice fishing? Medicine Hat?

You're in the middle of the Canadian arid desert, pal - wrong end for ice fishing. If you've just arrived, then you see the snow on the ground; we only got that last week. There's no ice anywhere nearby that I'd trust...

The boys down at the Outdoorsman can help you out with coyote hunting though; great bunch of guys in there.

4 trout lakes and half a dozen pike/walley/perch/whitefish lakes within an hour drive. as stated, the ice isnt safe anywhere for vehicles, but walking should be ok on most of it.

if you want to whack coyotes, grab a landowner map at the county office in dunmore and a phone book. near enough everyone will let you shoot yotes with a simple "please". that will lead you to the local deer populations too which will be a headstart for next year.

your brother is in vermillion i see. if you grew up there and are used to seeing trophy size deer you are going to be disappointed in what you see around your new home. ill be working lots between now and the end of march, but by then the gophers are going to be in a world of hurt. if you need a point in the right direction then, let me know.

Then I'll stand corrected, sure.

I'm from North Ontario; one to two feet is what we considered optimal conditions. Pain in the arse to auger through, mind...

There's about about a 1\2 mile wide open hole at rattlesnake lake towards the west side of the lake....rest of the lake is 12" thick in most spots.was out there on friday and the fishing Was the chits.
