If you want to talk about a team hit hard by the 'c' word you don't have to look any further. Unfortunately. Tragically. I honestly dropped an f-bomb with tears in my eyes as I read my teammates stories and with a heavy heart once again cursed this terrible disease. I wish with all my heart we weren't banded together by the fact that cancer has taken so many dear to us and is putting others we love through the literal fight of their lives. *Insert f-bomb here* Mothers, Fathers, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins....yeah, it hits hard.
I wish we were all joined through the optimistic and altruistic idea for the Ride. We're not. However, we aren't rolling over to cry in sorrow with wishes of what could have and should have been. We're fighting back the only way we can. With passion. A huge goal in mind!
Riding 200km in two days through the Rockies is not easy. Not at all. But, it's nothing compared to chemo, radiation, surgery, transplants or losing the battle to an invincible enemy. We will have to train and train hard. We will hurt. We will cry. But we will survive and we will triumph. But WE NEED YOUR HELP! Without your help, we are helpless, because in order to Ride each rider needs to raise $2500. Without your help we cannot raise the incredible amounts of money that go directly and fully to research.
