Default Fishing in Saskatoon

I'm heading to Saskatoon in 2 weeks with my jet boat to fish the South Saskatchewan River. I've done some research already and looks like Broadway Bridge is a good place to launch. I'll probably fish upstream from there to Circle Drive. Does anyone have other suggestions on where to launch and fish?

Might try Lake Diefenbaker too. Any suggestions on boat launch and fishing spots?

Thanks!

That Broadway launch is really the only useable launch in the city. However, I'm not sure the fishing is much good in that stretch - I could be wrong, but I've never heard much about it. The river is low and the current is slow this year.

Diefenbaker has a couple good launches in the north end at Danielson park and in Coteau bay. Again, there is low water in Dief as well so no idea what the launches are like. The rain may have brought up the water level as well.

You could also hit the north SK at the Petrofka bridge as there is an old ferry crossing there that is useable as a launch. Those waters should be much more fishy than in Saskatoon.

Not entirely sure about Saskatoon but the rivers here are now pretty much at their all time high this year. Flows have more then tripled recently.

The river through Saskatoon is really controlled by the Gardiner dam at Diefenbaker. Diefenbaker has been really low and water likely won't be released from Diefenbaker unless they anticipate it filling up.

I usually go to Blackstrap lake. Decent fishing for Pike, Walleye, perch and white fish. About 40minutes drive from Saskatoon thru highway 11. Not sure about boat launch though as I did only shore fishing.
