Default Triple Yotes and Double Raccoons

Here is my first triple of the year. Called them in to 75 yards with a Ruffydog Jr. and fed them 22-250 V-max. Pictured is my son that helped me call them in. As well we took these 2 raccoons this fall by my place. Consider this my entry for the over 16 category for this years predator contest.

Default The Sister-in-Law

I thought I would post this one for the sister in law got last week. Not sure what gun she used but she shot this one right in their yard north of Hilda. It was only like 20 yards from the house.

I wounded this female on the run with a 6.5x55. Ended up tracking her through an open field following a very weak blood trail and then a buddy finished her with a .223 when we finally located her. A lot of work for 1 coyote.

Well, I got one more this week. Didn't get a chance to take a field pic, but he's one on the ones in the line-up here. I'm ready to ship to NAFA any day now. Bought myself that 30-30 with the funds that I'm anticipating I'll make in the auction.

Hi Guys, got this one today, lip squeaked him in to 200 yards, 20+ winds, he was facing into the wind, aimed at his nose and hit him just behind shoulder in spine, DRT.

I got this nice male today. Under 100yd shot with the 22-250 and 52gr hornady Amax at 3770fps.

DRT. Quarter size entrance wound, no exit.

Called three more in today, but it was windy and warm and they took 25 minutes to call in and circled way downwind and I wasn't able to get a shot before they scented me and took off.

Got out for 3 stands today, I havent been able to get out for a few weeks so I was just happy to get the afternoon off to get out...called in a double on the third stand but only got one of them. Small male, shot at 70yds. The new tripod rest sure is great, I'm looking forward to trying it out on some long range shots...I'm sure the opportunity will come soon.

i need to take more pictures of this stuff. sorry, this is the only yote i snapped a shot of.

i also managed to catch up to this guy after a long sprint. i knew i was out of shape, but running 200 yards really drove the point home.

Default 2 today

So these are my new years day contributions.
First one called in to about ten yards, soon as he saw the decoy up close he bolted. Somehow he managed to come in the only place I had a tiny blind spot.
Anyway Rather than risk the running shot through the briars I waited and left the caller play. He stopped and was staring at me from the bottom of the coulee, 207 yards and that was it for him. Went to get him to drag out and geeze he was big. Had to stop a couple times for a breather on the way up and out.
Second one called in to just over a hundred yards, he was missing half his front leg. and was probably hungry. The stump was bleeding and some bone was showing, he had nice fur and was probably glad to make my acquaintance as his leg looked awfully sore.
Missed another at 181 yards don't know how as I had all the time in the world. I ranged him, put the crosshairs on him, was steady as a rock, and miss. Figure the wind coming across the coulee was more than I thought. Anyway he's gone for now.
So saw 6 coyotes, shot at 3, got 2, twas a good day.

Default Posting for 06dvx

Went out for an afternoon of calling, with 06dvx, and grey bush. Did 5 stands and only called this nice male in. Calling with a hunter specialties electronic caller. 06dvx nailed with the .22 mag perfectly in the neck at 155 yards and dropped it in its tracks. Using Winchester hollow points.

Default Yote # 9

Went out today with my son and we put a spot and stock on this male. Once we were settled down on our bipods he made his way over to us while mousing. We waited until he came into range and we let him have it. Poor sleepy dog never had a chance.

Was driving into my spot when on the way in I saw this guy mousing in an adjacent field. So I snuck into a treeline and had to try and call him onto land I was allowed to hunt. Set up and started with soft vole squeaks. Couldn't see him but I knew he was around. Nothing with the vole, so I switched to a loud jack rabbit distress on my foxpro spitfire. Called twice when I could here something coming up my left side. Looked into the field and saw him running at full speed towards the treeline I was sitting in about 50yds away. Ran right though it and I heard him go through a fence that was just the other side. I thought this was over as the wind was blowing into my face and he ran about 75yds behind me and into a field he stopped for about 30secs as he was searching, gave me enough time to spin around 180 and put a 45gr HP through the lungs. Dropped where he stood. Couple firsts today 1) first yote with my new .223 rig 2) first yote this year 3) and first yote called in on a call. I've taken a lot of coyotes but always pushing bush or random seeing. After the shot, I was shaking! It was great. Can't wait for my next.

Thanks Whitey, he was definitely an older male by his size and the look of his teeth. The 22-250 is sure working fine this year.....

This guy in september with my bowtech destroyer 340, 4 blade slick trick broadhead.

Shot this one on Dec.30th, spot and stock coyote, made a 312 yard shot with my 22-250, 45 gr. remington hollow points.

Called this one in on Jan.1 with my sceery rabbit in distress call. Came from 500 yards across a feild to 100 yards, folded him like a cheap suit with my 22-250, same ammo.

Me and a buddy went out today and called out 4, shot 2. He got one and I got one. The one I got was missing half of one leg and about 1/3 of the other leg. We watched him come in for about 200yds (from the trees behind me in the first pic), and honestly couldn't tell that it was even missing any legs! He crossed under 2 fences and came in fast...I wouldn't have believed it unless I saw it, but he sure knew how to balance using the stumps. The front leg (missing 1/2) looked like it coulda been cut or shot off...but the back leg (missing 1/3) was obviously a birth defect as there was a pad on the bottom of the stump, just no toes or claws. Pretty weird anyway!

Took this one pushing bush with a buddy this morning. Missed a chance at a pure white one though super mad about that. X 2 for the year so far. Big female.

I was out with a buddy on the holidays and called this big male in. I shot him at 100 yards one shot with the 22-250.
