Default Carp Herpes

Hopefully this may turn out to be a solution to the invasion of carp in our river systems. Maybe they should also give a case of herpes to whoever introduced the species to our waters.

I wonder if the govt is even aware that such things are possible?

Maybe we could somehow be in contact with a big union exec who likes to fish and plant a bug in his ear about this. Bet it would not take too long to get some action.

Yes think that would be a novel idea. But because it's not their idea they may pooh pooh it. Wonder who to send it too. Anybody. Environment mister?

What if it morphs into something that kills other species of fish?

Great care must be taken before introducing anything!

Article mentions that it doesn't affect other fish. Although thorough testing might be in order.

If it works as advertised and they continue extensive research before introduction, I don't see why not.
