Was out at the Narrows today and it was slow fished a couple hours and caught a couple jacks and ling but only 1 walleye. 2 Trucks made it out there but looked like it was tough going, a few spots it looked like they were shoveling. If your heading out there bring sleds.

I was at nine mile point the ice is 20 inches caught walleye, burbot, and pike. There were quite a few trucks some getting stuck in the drifts.Bring a shovel and tow rope just in case.I usually fish Assineau but the trailed not plowed yet, the walleye fishing a lot better there.

Shanty town is getting set up, but fairly slow going. The main roadway out is in terrible shape, and with the wind and snow from yesterday, its gonna be worse. I got stuck pretty bad last night, and they guy who ( eventually ) pulled me out had a heck of a time with his truck too. Just deep snow, drifts, uneven tracks, the whole bit. Lots of fun!

You CAN get there with a truck, just bring a shovel and a tow rope, but a sled would be the best bet. Theres at least 18 inches of ice.

Like every year up there it takes a bit to get everything set up and the road packed down nice. I bet in 2 weeks it will be in good shape there....

The walleye have nothing to worry about from me but if all goes well I'll be up there Thursday night. Now if I could just remember what I was doing wrong last year.....
