Default Best spring break family vacation suggestions

Hi Guys
For a change I got spring break off, and want to take our 4 kids somewhere fun within driving range. (ages 5-12). Been to Zion state Park in Utah with them several times and loved it, but looking for something different and warm for that time of year. (March 25-apr 1). Looking to keep it around $3000. Any recommendations?

Rent a beach condo on Rathetrevor Beach. Vancouver island. Warmest place close to Calgary. Try the Madrona.

Otherwise maybe Yellowstone. Very cool place.

We've been to Vancouver Island many times, and Yellowstone may be fairly cool for that time of year. Has anyone had a holiday around the okinagan that time of year?

Being from Vancouver Island I can tell you it's typically the rainy season,
However, the weather folks are calling for another dry warm spring such as last year. With the Canadian dollar unlikely to change anytime soon, it's a pretty good option. Kayak adventures, Victorias always beautiful, as well as Tofino.
Lots of outdoors stuff to do... Not to mention there's usually a Salmon run going on around that time hint hint..

http://www.silverwoodthemepark.com/

For a few days, then a cabin and boat rental on Pend Orielle Lake.

Some big rainbows and lake trout to be had.

fun for the kids and the outdoorsman all in one.

Just curious, why do we get so hung up on the dollar? Went to Hi last March, cost 1.26 exchange, thought it was livable now it's 9 cents more (ie $90 / 1000 higher if you like) (to be clear it was about $1250/1000 last spring now it's about 1350/1000) and we're pulling our horns in? If we can't afford an extra $300-500 for a vacation - was it affordable to begin with?
