Smile Travers is dead :) :)

So the whole famdamily went out fishin on Boxing Day. 9 people with 8 of us eligible to fish. Pretty slow day for the most part. Missed quite a few light biters till FINALLY we were able to get my little cousin his first fish

So not long after my brothers in-laws showed up with their kids and we managed to catch a couple hammer handles and a small walleye. Kids were pretty excited. 5 min after everyone left (except for ma, pa and the bro) the real action started and this pig hit

Tho it was a slow day (which it always is this time of year), and a little breezy, it was a great day had by all. Think my little cousin had the most fun tho haha

Fish measured 42" and was put back for someone else to catch and hopefully spawn for more years to come!!!

Another decent day on Travers. Caught this lady later in the afternoon. 44" long. Weighed in at 15.8 lbs. Skinny as a rail. Monster head and tail. One eye was clouded over. Yes I took this one home. Opened her up and nothing but fluid in her stomach. Very little eggs. I'm thinking she was either sick or had a hell of a time hunting for food. Any ideas? Usually this time of year the mammas are riddled with eggs.
