Default 1st Timers

Will be taking out my two nieces (8 &10) on Saturday for their very first time fishing. Have heard Pine Coulee is good for first time fishing. I do have a 17ft. Sylvan with all the goodies. Have heard that by the bridge is good and also just away from the dock. Is it worth the trip as I have never been there. Any underwater hazards like Crawling Valley. Any input would be great. I do have a wide range of lures and jigs. Thanks in advance

Just my 2 cents as I've been there recently with the boat...I think it's a great place to go, lots of fish and the boat launch is friendly. No bumpy gravel roads and an easy drive from Calgary. Lots of Walleye and some pike. I've heard that jigheads, minnows and smelt are the way to go, just out of the dock area or straight across from it. I might take my own kids there tomorrow morning in fact.

that PCR is just down by Stavely, off the QE2 a bit, eh guys? Never been but was trying to google it as everyone talks about it so much on here. The girlfriend is just kinda getting into fishing, and it sounds like that's a good place to go to keep 'er interested...

PCR is pretty good anywhere from the boat launch to the bridge. I fish it we a #2 hook and small bobber and average 20 eyes or so from shore. caught a few pikes on spoons but nothing worth talking about.

have fun and take some pics.

I take nieces there because it's guaranteed to keep them interested. I fish under and near the bridge. Bobber with a small jig head with minnows for bait. I have caught giant pike under the bridge but that takes patience.

Default 1st. Timers PCR

Just like to thank those with their suggestions on fishing PCR ( Icatchfish, dean2287 and HighRiver ). Took my nieces out and they had a blast. Smiles all day and a good sleep on the way home. They have all the pics on their phones and I'll try to post some. Will be going back with 2 nephews soon. Lots of EYES and no PIKE. THANKS AGAIN for sharing. They will never forget as I will never forget
