Default Milk River

Gonna give it a try this weekend. Anyone have any tips, I'm going in blind haha.

guys from the Royal Alberta museum electrofished it at WOS yesterday morning, didnt find anything said it was too dirty.

Only time to fish the Milk is late fall just before freeze up. Irrigation water is shut off so not dirty milk color any longer. Natural flow water is perfectly clear water, just not much of it, so you have to fish the pools. Sauger, pike and sucker mainly. Be prepared for lots of walking.

That would be a challenge ...... with water levels fluctuating over the last 15 years, the SRD captured 1 single stone cat in a 18 month long study.

I'm sure there are a few left somewhere in the lower reaches of the Milk but they seems to be as elusive as the golden trout ..... lol.

Seems a shame, as they were in there when I was in University some 25 years ago ...... they seem to have disappeared in that stretch of the river.

I drove down to the milk a few years ago and it was completely dried up
