At first glance it looks like a prussian carp

Might also be wise to report it to U of A research team at http://www.markpoesch.com/reportsighting.php Any help anglers can provide these folks goes a long way for good fishing karma.

Now that I think of it I remember probably 3 years ago the dog rump pond in stony used to be filled with them...the biggest I ever saw was dead on the rocks and it looked like it woulda probably gone 4 pounds...never thought anything of it as I figured they were just someone's goldfish that grew an extreme amount

To late. Fish that size already spawned and that pond soon will be prussian carp heaven.

I fish that stretch a lot and don't recognize the bridge you are standing on. Did you park at the 580 bridge. If so which way did you walk?

I fish the dogpound every year numerous times and fish counts for me are way up. I've seen lots of strange things on the dogpound huge pike way up in beautiful trout runs. the last couple of years I've seen a brook trout increase in numbers. suckers caught on woolly buggers to name a few. let's hope the water in there is too cool for those nasty things. when is the government and private citizens gonna realize that non native species are bad news to Eco systems
