Default Best way to bottom shore fish?

Looking to catch the bigger pike at the bottom but currently use spinner from shore. Whats the best jig/bottom trolling setup for pike also considering itll be going through weed beds, ect...

Usually even if I put on a weedless spoon weeds still clump up where the line connects to the lure or the leader, anyway around this?

Thanks for any information!

oh! this is Pond, prob deepest area being 15 ft with most fishing in 5-10.

Any suggestions for slip bobber type?

Does using powerpro effect the slip bobber or should I go mono w/leader?

Thanks, will try this setup this week and post any pics of the any caught gators!

Current best is 32~", should be up to a 40 somewhere, i saw him once.

When I'm using a slip bobber with larger baits for pike I use this larger bobber

With these bobber stops http://www.thefishinhole.com/index.c...oduct&se=23533

The stops work well enough on the braid I use (30lb PowerPro) but of course you'll still want a to use a fluoro or steel leader below the bobber as well.
