Well if history says anything about Detroit, they are either out FAST or they go for the cup.
That is one team proven to choke in the playoffs. Esp against lower seeded teams.

A few thoughts on the Flames upcoming playoff run.
#1 This team confuses me. They are gold at home and death on the road. But yet when the chips were down and they needed to win a bunch (on the road) they did it. If that team shows up they will go far and deep into the playoffs. If the team who showed up most of the season on the road shows up.. Well they will be playing golf in no time.

#2 My heart says the Flames go all the way my head says something different. This team has some problems, not they cant be overcome, but still they are there. Hope with your heart bet with your head

#3 The Red Mile. This scares the heck out of me. I know the cops have been saying they are planning on cracking down, but I don’t think they can. Though 2004 was fun, last year could have turned ugly. Look what happened up north. Anyone who doesn’t think that can happen here is smoking crack. I am afraid it will become a big embarrassment to our fine town. Don't sweat it, ther will be stabbings, vandalism and fights galore,cops will overreact ( not that I blame 'em ) and it will make headlines. The media sells papers on sensationalism not news, so any incident will be blown out of proportion. I was on Whyte last year and the "news footage" was basicaly a rerun of a couple of bad incidents shown over and over on different nights. Besides if you lose four straight there will be very little to celebrate, right?

#4 Car flags. They are great to see. I wonder if they will become the phenomenon they where in 2004. Perhaps we can come up with something new.

#5 I hate the fact we are playing during the afternoon in Detroit. Its all about making the US TV market happy. I thought it was due to a basketball game ???

#6 if the Flames do not go deep into the second round we will be seeing a new coach in Calgary next fall. Playfair is history no matter what

#7 I am more than glad to play Detroit in the first round, far and away the best team we could have. Uh yeah, I think Minny would have been better, you guys would have beat Minny

I think that special teams will be the difference in this round...meaning if we spend lots of time in the box detroit will eat us for lunch.

I have truck flags for each window and a large flag for the hitch of my truck.

I just finished watching it, That was amazing.
7th longest overtime ever I think. Luongo made more then 70 saves. Wow. I want the Canucks to win the series there, but would be nice if they get worn right out.
Only game that did not go the way I wanted was the Wild/Ducks game. Im pushing for the wild in that series.

Woke up this morning, and there was still a game going on LOL.

In regular time, it looked like he ran Kipper. In slow motion you can see it was not as bad. Personaly I dont care. I am glad they are fired up about something. What was with the guy leaping onto the dog pile. That made me laugh. Still a cheap shot, he did drop his shoulder.
