A buddy who works at ATCO corporate was telling me the other day that they have a variety of enployee handbooks, and one is titled “Understading Rural Alberta Idioms”, and they features a variety of slang and phrases apparently used by rural Albertans.
I wonder if that phrase is in here, Norwest lol.

Once again I got the sight not secure but it only happens when I try signing in from the post to thread button. Signing in from the top right doesn’t do it? Odd
I’m kicking coffee and caffeine all together this week. There are many interesting study’s I just read about and I guess four cups makes you live longer but anymore decreases mortality rate. I also read somewhere coffee significantly reduces your chances of skin cancer. Should be fun

A farmer was telling me how frightening it was that the topsoil was blowing away but when I told the story around the campfire nobody got scared.

Haven't visited for a while. Did today and it is the same people arguing/debating the same things (only briefly looked through the hunting discussion). The biggest difference I noticed is that Don Parsons does not sign "Don" under his posts anymore. Lol.
Are people still banned/suspended for "bad-taste" comments?
Also, the fact that one has to now buy an undersubscribed tag to begin with is a good thing. Fingers crossed it will eventually be the same for the regular tags as well.

Still wondering what happened to Oko and Redfrog?
I noticed Patridge numbers are way down in Southern AB. Use to see them everywhere. This year not so much.
Why is there no outdoors store in South Calgary?
Morning are getting pretty cool - fall fishing is just around the corner

Teenagers boil sanitary pads to get high
Quote:
As bizarre as it sounds, young Indonesians have found another affordable way to get tipsy — boiling sanitary pads and drinking the water.
Police in Jakarta; Bekasi, West Java; and Kudus, Central Java, have arrested several teenagers caught while experimenting with unusual methods of getting intoxicated. Most used menstrual pads to make the formula.
Adj. Sr. Comr. Suprinarto, the head of the Central Java chapter of the National Narcotics Agency, said it was the chlorine in the boiled mixture that created a feeling of "flying" and hallucinations similar to the sensation experienced when taking certain drugs.
"The used pads they took from the trash were put in boiling water. After it cooled down they drank it together,” Suprinarto said, as quoted by kompas.com.
Jimy Ginting, an advocate for safe drinking, said that it was not a new phenomenon.
In 2016, groups of teenagers in Belitung, Bangka Belitung Islands, and Karawang, West Java, did the same.
“I don’t know who started it all, but I knew it started around two years ago. There is no law against it so far. There is no law against these kids using a mixture of mosquito repellent and [cold syrup] to get drunk,” Jimy told The Jakarta Post on Saturday.

You sure it was the dog fart or the smell of some of your "killer" weed? Like Limburger Kush??

the stag 10s cdn 22" 6.5 creedmoor pcf rifle was specifically designed for long range use. This rifle uses the 6.5 creedmoor cartridge for increased accuracy with less recoil to reach out and touch your target. This precision rifle features a 22" 1/8 twist barrel, vg6 gamma 762 compensator, 16.5" paper city firearms m-lok handguard and a fab-defense gl-shock buttstock with shock-absorber and cheek rest.

Is "I had a conversation with a stranger in a cafe" sort of the same thing as
"I've got a buddy who ......"
Asking for a friend.

A couple days I did a bunch of in-and-out of the house moving out old and in new stuff, got all sweated up and of course felt the cold come on. Very sore throat, plugged head, can't breathe and haven't slept much in a couple days.
Don't do that.
I remember breathing and sleeping. I miss them.

Last week I was out in a field welding a gate stone cold sober as always and seen something I couldn’t explain. When a welding helmet is down you have what we call a rear view mirror or reflection in the lens from behind. So while welding I thought I saw what appeared to be a tall husky man walk by behind me and even felt the wind change briefly. When I lifted my hood a couple seconds later no one was there. This was a large field
