Default Cypress Hills in February

Hey guys,
A couple of guys and myself are thinking of driving down to Cypress Hills from Calgary in mid to late February to do some ice fishing for the weekend.
Does anyone know if the fish are still active then? Is the ice still ok in late february?
Thanks guys.

Not sure I'd make that trip, three lakes in the hills, Ressor has a water problem and produces dink rainbows. Spruces gives up some decent brookies, but is better at other times of year. Elkwater has stunted pike and some decent perch. If we don't get a good blow to get some of the snow off the ice, fish will be stressed at that time of year due to lake of oxygen.
