Default The fishlab expedition hut

this is the new Lab all aluminum with solar power and all the conveniences
two years in the making
slept in it in minus 35 with the marine fireplace was cozy
120 watt solar panel and deep cycle battery, 19 inch tv dvd , 12 volt inverter
shark sound system ,aqua view research 100ft color camera, 12 volt power outlets
two bunk beds two captains chairs two catch covers in floor
fits in pickup bed
thermo pane windows and quick exit door on each end for rapid tip up action
see you guys at a lake near you stop by

idea is to build more it was all designed using cad modelling so it can be replicated we will see how sincere people are but as u can imagine its not going to be real cheap with the quality that comes with aluminum

Now that is one hot looking shack/palace. Does it only have 2 holes in the floor? and what size truck box does it fit?

the captains chairs are on swivel receivers so they unplug and go in another spot across from bench then a second folding bunk lifts and then two bunks

only two holes since most only a two man unit and more holes is more opportunity for draft although the catch cover sleeves seal it to ice very well

I only wanted two holes as its set up for two occupants and its double door design is for tip up outside it is 8 ft long so it will fit almost any full size truck

wow! that is one great looking shack. how do you get it on and off your truck? can 2 men lift/slide it on and off?

weighs in at 330 lb dry so add gear its getting heavy deep cycle battery is a lot
but I use a trailer and I tow it with my tracked machine

well prototypes are a bit more than production
with all the electrics, furnace and toys
I probably could have bought a quad lol
but its made to last a lifetime and I enjoy doing it

Ice Castle Fish House MFG has some for sale out of Minnesota for about $15000 they have be the nicest things I've ever seen!
