Default Newell Access into Big Rainier (SW Corner)?

Has anyone been accessing Big Rainier draw recently from the SW corner? I'd like to give it a try early this next week, but I'm driving from Calgary and I don't want to get stuck all by myself. I was hoping that the trail might be open and drivable with a 4x4. Also, is there any flood ice in this corner?

Cheers!

All I can add is that we went in there a couple years back and did not venture
in and was less snow that year than this...I would have to think it would be impassable...but could be wrong

Havent been down to Rainier so far this year, but with the access as difficult as it is on the rest of the lake right now, I cant imagine there is any access you would want to try on your own, agreeing with kevinhits.

A fair bit of snow and some very windy days.....expect some big drifts wherever you try to fish....

Hoping to get out on Newell next weekend. With a little luck, someone with a better 4X4 and more guts than I have will have broken some trails around the ice.
