Default Title of a George Jones video

I was/am a George Jones fan and was lucky enough to see him in concert a few times over the years.

A long time ago I saw a video of some lady bragging about her children. [They were never around and if I remember correctly, folks just sort of humored the old lady who constantly bragged about how important her kids were.}

Near the end of the video the lady passed on and suddenly the VIPs showed up.

Does anyone remember the video or song? I sort of would like to see it again after all this time.

Be safe and thanks again.

Still trying to find that record. He did 104 albums I just read, so it might be a reason that I can not find a single song.

No, it was not that song. My personal all time favourite. I'll keep looking. I must have too much free time. I am just afraid that when I do run it down, it might end up like that Peggy Lee song, 'Is that all there is, my friend?'

Default Rough on the Living

His picture was in all the papers
They said that a legend had passed
The late evenin' news did a special report
And swore that his mem'ry would last
They're playin' his records all weekend
Praisin' the life that he lived
Nashville is rough on the livin'
But she really speaks well of the dead
The wife that they interviewed cried
Is the same one who left him last fall
And the record producer who called him a hero
Is the one who wouldn't answer his calls
The ladies they sit over coffee
Braggin' bout sharin' his bed
They didn't want him 'round when he's livin'
But he showed a good friend when he's dead
They observed twenty seconds of silence
At the Opry on Saturday night
And they're searchin' the bars and the basements
For some souvenir of his life
They're plannin' a book for September
Showin' his plain country roots
And they're sellin' the rights to the movie
And the Hall of Fame's gettin' his boots
At the funeral somebody recited a poem
That told how he suffered and bled
Nashville is rough on the livin'
But she really speaks well of the dead
Yeah, Nashville is rough on the livin'
But she really speaks well of the dead

From the "Rough on the Living words from the Old Dogs" album...probably not the one you're looking for though?

Great song. But still not the correct one. When I watched the video long ago I thought that Jones was sort of tugging at the ol' heart strings about the old lady bragging about how important in the world her children were.

I shall keep looking. Maybe if I find a list of his music videos and not just the most popular ones.

Thanks for the suggestions so far.
