Default Gopher Fun

My son and his friend. A great day of Gopher hunting. 300 plus of the critters are no longer crop eating.

That's awesome! I'm jealous, I've never been gopher hunting but as soon as I find a good field/farmer who will let me shoot, I'll be putting my 10/22 to practice!

Need to make a nice squirrel slurry.

Get a large jar, glass works best but it's not good to clean up, so maybe a large plastic jar.

Fill said jar with squirrels and close the lid tight.

Leave jar out in the summer sun and let nature take its course. A couple months in the sun should be sufficient.

It turns into a soupy mix and you don't want to be nearby when it comes open. Place the jar on your bait pile, stand back a hundred yards and shoot it (this is why I don't recommend glass but it "cooks" better in a glass jar). Makes a nice stink to draw in bear or whatever else might take an in interest in a squirrel sun stew.
