I really think the ACR is hard to beat in many aspects. It is the cleanest running firearm I've ever fired, it runs dry, fully ambi, qd points galore, ergonomically correct and it is so reliable! Eats anything I feed it, accurate, good looking but a little overweight. Best 2700 bucks I've spent since buying my first car! Given I'm left eye dominant, my options were limited and this has always been a dream firearm of mine since it was the Masada. I do wish Magpul didn't sell it to Remington / Bushmaster or at least get Remington to offer parts and accessories for the civy side.

Now that the DMR is out, I'm hoping they start selling the conversion kits and the PRS stock. I did swap out my trigger spring for a JP spring and it has halved my trigger pull. I can live with 4-4,5 lbs

10/10 would buy again!

Default Xcr-l

Owned my xcr-l .223 for four weeks, amazing rifles. Need to play with different ammo and powder to fine tune the groupings.

I've had great luck with my xcr-l in both calibers. I do recommended reloading for the gun if you want to achieve close to MOA at a 100 yards. I found the .223 to be less picky reloading then the 6.8SPC was.

Default Modern Hunter or Varmint

If you are looking for a semi auto you could pick up a modern hunter or modern varminter from Alberta Tactical

My best load is 27.0 grains of BLC-2 and a 50 grain v-max. One of these days I'll shoot it off a bench and see what it can really do but on the 29'th of last month I was showing off to a few buddies and put 19 of 20 rounds into an inch rapid fire. I had one flier which opened the group to about 2" but I ran through two ten round magazines in less then a minute.

A good buddy of mine has one and he had to start packing his own loads. Factory ammo just wouldn't cut the mustard and as other have stated its a heavy beast to be packing around all day.

I shoot 53gr vmax backed with 24gr of Win748. BLC-2 also works well I found.

I am getting around MOA at 200m with 26 grains of CFE223 and 60 grain Nosler Balistic Tip Varment. They have a cannelure so you can crimp them (which I do)

XCR-L in 223

I'm not at home and wouldn't be able to measure that for a few more weeks.

I've shot mostly 55gr FMJ thru mine,Federal/Barnaul/AE,it shoots 1.25-1.75MOA with all that I've fed it,more like 1MOA+/- with premium hunting ammo, setting up my reloading/gun room that's been in storage for 2 years soon(after November),pretty confident I can get sub MOA out of it with handloads.
Check the torque on your barrel retention screw and make sure its tightened to spec,I dunno what else to tell you,it should shoot sub2moa all day with anything you feed it.
