Default Pigeon Lake Whitefish.

So me and Dad got out on the lake this morning around 8:30ish I think. loaded our stuff in the sled and walked out about 1/2 mile and started punching holes. It was a pretty slow morning for catching but I seen quite a few, at least 14 whites and had 5 of them end up take a swing and a miss at the hook, and finally stuck the 6th one right in the chops! also got a couple small walleye. Not too bad for the first trip. (Whitefish weighed 5 lbs even on the spring scale.)

Thats a pig !!!!! To bad a guy couldnt get into a bunch of those. I always only seem to catch 1 or 2 when I got out too. There tough to catch, much easier in gull but the gull ones are way smaller. Great Lookin white !!!!!!!

Nice white! Congrats.

I went for the first time on Sunday from about 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Caught a nice walleye about 3 lbs and then had a 8-10 lb pike watching the hook for a bit. No whites seen. I'll have to try a morning trip next.

Congraulations that is a good sized whitefish....The first part of your story is also good "me and Dad got out on the lake "....My boys have started their careers so we don't get out that often....

Default Father and Son

Nice fish and a good start to the season! I hope to get into some of those this winter myself, having purchased a shanty equipped with auger and camera. Hopefully my boy will enjoy it like you do.
