Thank you for reviving this old thread. I heard the Huskemaw Blue Diamond scopes and Nosler Trophy Grade ammunition is the ticket for establishing 0.5" groups.

I have had an x-bolt in .300 win mag for a few years now. It is my go to gun (I have taken both deer and elk with it). People have listed all the great benefits already in this thread. My two favourites are the trigger and the 60 degree bolt. Very smooth to fire.

I have the composite model in 270 wsm . It's the only riffle I have that likes accubonds. And it's 1/2 moa with several powders. I do like this rifle . I would caution anyone buying one the check the bolt travel and make sure it's smooth. My rifle is not which kind of sucks as other xbolt I have tried where very smooth. And I used leupold rings and bases. The screws for the bases are too short and only catch the first 3 threads. I used a torque driver and still stripped the threads in the receiver on one of the holes. Not a big deal onces I got longer screws but still something to be aware of. Not sure if the OEM bases come with better screws. Other than that I would say its a little overpriced in that quality control shuld be a little better at that price point. Oh and the bases didn't line up 100 % but windage in the scope took care of that.

Are you going to get the pros at Corlanes to set you up with this rig? Should make an awesome rifle for 500 yard offhand shots at moose!
