Default Bearspaw Dam Icefishing in Calgary?

Anyone know any details about icefishing on Bearspaw dam in Calgary?

I thought that the water level changes with the power generation load changes would make it unsafe but then I've never had a look. I think I might now that you've brought it up.

I've heard on more than one occasion that people ice fish it. Either wait for a reply from someone who knows, or go out there and see for yourself if anyone hs been icefishing. Check the holes, if the ice looks good go for it. Unless of course it falls into the same category as glenmore.

Haven't tried it, myself...mainly discouraged from doing so by posts like this:
