Default Yellowhead Lake

Hey all. I am driving around trying to find Yellowhead Lake, AB. Directions from the intersection of 587 and Hwy. 22 would be incredibly helpful since the ones I had didn't work out. Thanks.

Apparantly you go straight south at the 4 way stop in caroline to the t- intersection. Turn right, then turn right before the blue bridge and there is a 4x4 trail. Just going by what I was told on the weekend.

Wish I had of known that last weekend! We went out and tried to find it on Sunday and after wasting a 1/4 tank of fuel just trying to find it, we stumbled upon what looked like a mudhole. It must be, cause we fished there for most of the day without even a nibble and we got there at dawn! I walked over and talked to an older gentleman around noon who was fishing a hole on the west side of the lake and he hadn't caught anything either all morning, but he said it used to be a good lake to fish ten years ago. For how far out of the way it is, I would way rather fish an actual lake than a slew and actually catch something. We still had fun tho, just had to dip into the whikkey a little.

Yellowhead lake is alive and very well to fish in .... I fished there all summer and once so far this winter and always caught a ton of great brookies, the lake is very shallow and the fish can be tempermental on the day but none the less there is a lot of fish there and some very great fishing. Most of the fish are not huge but have caught some brookies up to 20". if you plan to catch anything there though you need to be there as the sun is coming up then the fishing is better..
