Default First trip to the SSR

Gave the SSR a try for the first time this weekend. Launched the boat in Medicine Hat - Great boat launch. Had a great time. Had a monster on yesterday but lost it due to equipment malfunction. But got a couple of pictures of it jumping.

great pic. missed out on a good jumper today too, wife wasnt ready with the camera. most of the jumpers seem to be in the 4 foot range that Ive seen so far anyways, and a few smaller ones . too bad it got away, but now you have a reason to go back!

Yep - they put the new launch in last year, it is a HUGE improvement on the old one.

Awesome photo !!

i was planning on leaving in the morning to hit the sturgeon again and the news says there is a river level advisory warning for the bow and the oldman. i am doubting i will be able to get in with my car and i am not familar with any other spots around there. but still tempted to head down and check it out.

Foothills are to get 80mm tonight so all those feeder streams to the bow and oldman plus those two rivers should rise pretty good, though that can make for some stellar fishin. Just be careful if you header.

Your neck seems to wish to say something, but just can't find the words.

In all seriousness, beautiful fish.

Awesome picture! Still a great memory I bet even though you didn't get to hold it!
