Default Wabasca River

Normaly Wabasca river that runs between north and south Wabasca Lake can be fished year around. Have not read the new regs yet if this has changed or not
Anyways used to fish it years ago when it never frozze because of the flow.
Used to produce very large pike and walleye.
Anyone drive across the bridge this week ,is the water open.
Do they still have the old bridge set up for fishing only.

Untill about 3-4 years ago that section of river WAS open all year. That has now changed, I talked to a F&W officer about the time it happened and he told me that they had been waiting untill they got the band on board. From what I've seen theres quite a few locals they didnt exactly get on board, either way its on the same regs as the lakes these days.
