Default Lake Isle up date

Made it to lake Isle today ,water was like pea soup already !
Did not expect this til late July.
Launched the boat on the east end (silver sands )then later on tryed drive over to the west side.
Only made it half way over and had to turn around because of the weeds.
Something has to be done about this lake to kill all these weeds.
Had to wash boat after the trip ,looked like it was painted green and the fishing spool was just green also .
Only caught one legal size pike and alot of smaller boys.

We have been out to lake isle a few times in the last few weeks. We have pulled out several keepers on yellow or red deep divers. We have had the most luck trolling around islands and in about 20 ft of water.
Yes the water quality is terrible. Although i think that probably has to do with the amount of human traffic and waste near the lake. You could do a weed kill although i think that would be a temporary fix, but what do i know, im just a girl

Algae and weed growth are because of the warmer water temps and the abundance of livestock contributing nutrients within the watershed.
