Default Ice fishing trout ponds

Does anyone know if you can fish the ponds in and around the city of edmonton or even Calgary? I know you can ice fish Lake Summerside but what about Hermitage or even Lancombe park pond? I heard you are not allowed since people ice skate on those ponds but want to hear from the pros haha.

I've ice fished hermitage before, just put a stick in the hole maybe so a skater doesn't break an ankle!

Maybe that is Edmonton, I emailed the people at St. Albert and got this:

Ice fishing is prohibited at Lacombe Lake as the lake is one of the City of St. Albert's outdoor rink locations. Holes drilled in the ice will compromise the surface making it unsafe for skating, which is why ice fishing is prohibited.
