Primos trigger Stick

Ok so get this, I had a 1st gen Primos trigger stick for awhile, well one broke not usable so I sent to primos, with a note telling why it broke, and today a new one is in my hands now, great warranty from them, Thanks Primos

I had a gen one that broke. It was my fault and I told them so. They offered me a nice discount on a new one. I can't complain, most companies would have just said it was out of warranty. Primos is a dang good company IMO.

I have tall and short trigger sticks. Work pretty good. For what they charge for them they should be able to offer a pretty good warranty.

That's great to hear, that they stand behind their product.

Do any of you guys use them as a kind of walking stick? Or is that not recommended?

I was thinking of getting one, but I'm reluctant to add more weight to my pack. If it serves another purpose then it is more attractive to me...

No I don't use it as a walking stick, I have carbon pole in each hand to help stable me, and if a animal walks in front of me, then I use the carbon pole to use with a gun

I have a set of gen two, bi-pod type. I use them as a walking stick all the time, but not in real rough terrain. I don't think they would stand up to putting a lot of weight on them like a good set of trekking poles will. Good to hear they back their stuff but like Smoke says at the price they aught to. Best deal I ever found on them is CT when they putt them on sale. literally half the price of Cabelas.

Using mine as a trekking pole is how I broke it. I slipped on ice and fell on it.

Noticed the price of a simple camera tripod lately. Ridiculous, and they go up if you list hunting glass compatable as a feature. Add a known name and it gets even worse.

I paid $169 for the tripod version of the Primos shooting stick and consider that a bargain compared to an everyday tripod with fewer features.

Trigger sticks are great!
Only issue I’ve had with them is losing the v on the top because it’s came loose

Can’t think of many places where they dont come in handy
You’ll always shoot more accurately off of the sticks vs freehand so it’s a no brainer to carry them

The gen 3 models new to me, don't screw in, they have a lock now and slide in, so no more loosing the V

I have been using the Gen 2 tripod for about five years, and it has been excellent. It is tall enough to use standing up, which is where bipods fall short.

I have one of the monopod ones and find it handy. The thing it that as a walking stick they’re not the best as the telescoping lock mechanism isn’t sturdy enough to put much weight on. For keeping balance with light inputs they’re OK, but they can collapse down with more pressure.

Cool to hear they have good warranty.

I also had one break, but it was -42 and I think the plastic just got too brittle. I was out sitting on a tree line trying to convince coyotes to come to me. The bipod actually froze into the deeper snow and snapped pulling it out. Was replaced no questions asked. Have had no issues with it since (Gen 2 bipod). I like them a lot.

Same here. My gen 1 was old, used it lots. It gave up the ghost so I tried to fix it. It worked for a bit then crapped out again. I contacted primos and they sent a new one. And have me a discount on the 3 legged one, all they asked for was a customer review in their website. Really good customer relations.

What was your process on getting this replaced under warranty?

Have one of the Bog Pod tripods with the "vice" top. I sit and still hunt a lot and it sure holds rifle nice and frees up Hands for glassing or rattling.

I just looked at there site copied the address package sent, mine was in 3 pieces so just sent it to them and well my replacement is now in my hands
