Default directions???

I dont want to offend anyone on here and I apoligize up front if this is the wrong thread to post this, but I am in need of directions from Ft McMurray to the Wapasu/Slave Lake area without going down hwy 63 to Edmonton. I am a prepper and work in ft mac, but my family and preps are in chilliwack. I dont want to be caught on hwy 63 with several thousand vehicles trying to get south to Edmonton. So if anyone could help with some directions it would be much appriciated. Thanks

You will have to go down 63 as far as the Alpac road just south of Wandering River, then over to Athabasca and up HWY2 north .
You cluld go down HWY881 to Imperial mills store and cut across the Alpac road there, but it is longer, and at times there is just as much traffic.

By "prepper" do you mean if the SHTF type prepper?
In that case you may be totally out of luck trying to geet anywhere.

Depending on what he meant by prepper, I think I've heard it used in a construction related capacity; if it was meant in a SHTF capacity then he missed the part about leaving a day or two early for travel on long weekends

Sorry to bust your hump, but the opportunity was there, it's in my DNA

Catinthehat's directions will be bang-on, he's lived in those parts for many moons.

He posted this on Gun Nutz as well. One of those Nutzos who think they can escape when the balloon goes up.
