Default '08 thundercat good idea?

A guy has offered to trade me his 2008 Arctic Cat Thundercat for a street bike that I am wanting to sell.
I've always been a Honda guy when it comes to off road stuff but I've been hearing good things about Cat. Anyone have a Thundercat? Any issues? I did some reading and sounds like the early models had some issues with too much power for the rest of the machine. However I really had to look for anything bad about the bikes.
Just looking for some first hand information.

DO NOT get a AC quad. They are crap, I have a 06 H1 and it's been a pain in the butt. If I got thru cobble stone I always take out the brake rotors and then the pads. After one of these events I pulled out a rock twice the size as a golf ball form between the rotor and rim. It's happened three times. One other issue, mine has electronic choke and it's a beyatch to start usually kills the battery and have to boost it with my Kodiak.

for that year and machine it is the worst possible one you could get. Front diffs are prone to grenading from improperly welded pin. Overheating and head gasket issues or water pump impeller, Starter problems, sld( slip component in transmission). They are terrible on resale value as everyone that quads knows to avoid them even if you were thinking of quickly flipping it. Even Arctic Cat diehards would not do that trade or buy that quad.
look on www.arcticchat or www.highlifter and ask some questions all responses will be the same.

Keep it coming guys. I'm completely on the fence about this whole trade thing. I need to know all I can.

Appreciate the above comments!
