Default First bear

My 16 year old daughter is on her second fall of hunting with her own tags. This year we started early as she wanted to get her first big game animal. She has a cow elk tag, a whitetail tag and a fall bear. Talking with people and sharing my excitement for her to shoot a big game animal this year trumps my own goals , A very nice family with a couple of oat fields invited us out as they have seen a few bears feeding nightly. As we sat in our blind, we quickly had a bear come into the field, we did a small stalk on a small bear that went over a hill, we ran up, and set up and her nerves and excitement caught up to her. Her gun slide off the bipod and the bear ran away, we went back to our blind, and 1/2 hour later another bear came out, a little small and behind us around the corner. As we were watching that bear a bigger bear came out about 150 yards in front of us. Now that we have had 4 bears around us her nerves were settled down. A good rest, a good relaxed 150 yard shot, she shot, and the bear jumped and ran 10 yards, done. Then the excitement was returned, There was a bear lying in the field. Not a monster, but a great first big game animal. No holding her back on hunting now. She shoots a 7-08 for two years now and she loves shooting it. (The bear in the picture behind her in the field is not the bear she shot)
