Left a rod at Legends
Hey all. I was fishing the NSR yesterday and as we packed up I didn't realize I had brought my spare rod with me and ended up leaving it on the river bank there.
I was further down from the main spot, upstream maybe 200-300 meters near a rocky point just around the bend from where everyone usually fishes. I left it up off the rocks along the sandy bank behind where you usually set up your rod.
It was a 2 piece 9 foot Shimano Scimitar rod. Black and red coloring. Had an elastic band holding the two pieces together. It's not worth a lot of money but if somebody finds it I would reward them if they returned it to me!
Thanks in advance for anyone who decides to take a look.
Tight lines!

Did you go back and look yourself? Not clear from your post. I'd say if you looked and couldn't find it, then it is gone forever. If you didn't go back and look yourself, then it won't be long until someone finds it and decides to keep it, saying to themselves it's OK to take it because "finders keepers, losers weepers".

Was driving down 21 today and remembered your post.
Took a quick detour and found your rod.
Send me a pm and we will find a way to get it to you.

Good job!!
How great would it be if more of us would care a bit more instead of having your things stolen you get them back! What a concept..

Thanks guys!
NSR Fisher is a strong contributor here on AO and does great posts.
And he and Timidhc do the greatest videos.
They are the next generation so us "old guys" got to help 'em out when we can.
Besides...it was a beautiful day for a quick walk down the river bank.
If there were a reel and hook on the rod, I would have made a few casts.

Wow, I'm surprised and impressed that you got that back! Good job on iYearn for going the extra mile and reuniting rod with fisher.

iYearn is the type of fisherman I'm aspiring to be!
At least a handful of my videos should be dedicated to him!

I actually offered iYearn a feature in our next video if he could make it out to our next spot on his boat, but sadly he couldn't.
he's dropping the rod off at my work though like an absolutely sweetheart! So I will be able to have access to it tomorrow.
Maybe all 3 of us will do a Gull Lake video sometime this ice season?! We can set up our own little ice fishing village and have a great ol' time!

Now there's good karma with that rod NSR Fisher.
Should catch you lots of fish on your next adventure with Timidhc.
I look forward to seeing the video.
