On Wednesday there was just an inch or two of fresh snow on the ice for the most part.

We got a bit of rain yesterday so I highly doubt there is any snow left on the ice.

Came on at PP. A bit of water at the launch but good access. Lots of ice on still. 1 fish in first 10 minutes. Small guy. Like splake said. Almost no snow and a bit of top water.

Made it out for the last few days of the season. First few days we were moving all around trying all of the usual hot spots. Manged a handful each day including some dandy's but could not find a large concentration of Trout.

Upon a tactical discussion the night before around the fire pit with beers in hand we had a plan for first light and finally for our last day we found the Lakers stacked up in an area and we absolutely slayed them. Landed over 30 Lakers and got into at least a dozen long distance releases in addition to that before noon between 2 of us. Kept my little daughter quite busy running from hole to hole watching each battle, kissing the fish before the release, and cleaning out the holes of ice chips to be ready for the next epic Laker battle.

To top it off got into some Pike and Walleye action later that afternoon and into the evening.

Could not ask for a better end to the hard water season. Bring on the melt.

Mid May the ice starts sinking to the bottom and pops up late December.

Nope, no ice, get into the back bays for the walleye and northerns as they will soon start to move out to the bigger parts of the lake and are a pain to locate then.

Fished it last weekend JR. No ice that we had seen. 2 days and about 12 hours. Landed 10 lakers between the 2 of us. Heard the bite was on this weekend. Work got in the way for me

I was fishing between 90- 110 ft. Tried to fish a little higher but could only get strikes deep.

Will be on the water by noon tomorrow. Winds ne at 30 gusting to 5p may force me to fish over by the ski hill where it's a little more protected than the main lake.

we were out this last weekend in my little 14 foot and it was pretty darn nice. smoke wasnt horrible but it wasnt pleasent. Fishing was great between the 3 of us we put over 60 lakers in the boat. mostly just average size but a few 10+lb keepers that we put back. tried downrigging but jigging from 80-140fow we had our most consistant action. also caught 4 or 5 lakers casting spoons in 10fow for some pike! was a blast!

I was there Sat thru Monday, we struggled jigging and downrigging. Fishing was slow for us, and other boats around us did not seem to be doing much better. Caught fish from 40 - 100 ft.

Was out today, caught between 20-30 on the downriggers fishing 40-50 feet down in 50-100 fow. Lots of double headers, had a blast.
