Makar. What a beauty that kid is. You have to appreciate that level of skill.

Couple things, you're gifted a 5 on 3 and you don't score. Then couldn't bury the dagger after the Hyman goal review that lead to another power play.

Then how is it that Hyman gets hauled down then called for embellishment? Ya tell me about how a guy looking for the hat trick on a potential breakaway is just gonna go down, ya ok.

Then Drai takes the stupid retaliatory penalty on Helm, definitely an elbow but Helm went down like he was the first doe you see on opening day. No consistency.

Nonetheless real contenders hold 2-0 leads. That's embarrassing, they owe Stu something big for keeping them in it again.

Well, when the only thing separating your team and the Hawks in the standings is the power play, and then it isn't working, it's hard to win. But, Bettman point.

When Makar turned the corner at the Blue line, Why did the Oilers foreward stop skating and put his hands up in the air? That play cost the Oilers the game.

Yes it's unfortunate that neither team from Alberta is doing anything worth getting excited about, both hovering at the wild card points line, but we are all hoping for better days ahead

I think Hyman was signalling no change yet because he had to get back on D. I think he was actually ok, he was taking the trailer on the play, Nuge actually got back on Makar pretty decently. I'm not wondering if Nuge hadn't got his stick in Makar's shot that Stu maybe makes that save, I think his stick changed the angle a little. It's too bad, sometimes getting a stick on a shot puts it out of play, other times it makes it impossible for your goaltender to make a save.

Flames have turned a corner, 12/13 games out of last 16 they have points in.

Markstrom fighting with his old lady? Can't get much worse!! He doesn't appear hurt.

The only good thing about the game last night was I fell asleep between the 2nd and 3rd period so I never missed any sleep watching that display of .... whatever you call it

Kane may be back in as little as 9 days. A piece of good news, he's been sorely missed

That would be good news indeed, they have really missed him

Hate say it but the Oilers need a hell of a lot more than Kane back in the line up . Will be great to see him back , but the Oilers are just looking so ****ty off pace , out of joint on the ice ,
Something else going on there , so sad to see .

Desharnais to make his NHL debut tonight. Good story. Passed up on two NHL drafts. Get drafted in the last round (7th), second last pick, in his third eligible draft. Now 26 years old. Hope he does well. Don't know how much ice time he gets if they go 11/7.

No sir, the lack of sleep will be worth it tonight!

Kostin is sure looking like he's coming into his own. When he went into the boards the other night and needed to be helped off, was sure he was done for a spell, but he was okay.

As Jack Michael's said last night after the game " total domination by the Oilers " we'll take it, best game I have seen them play in a while, Campbell was not over worked by any stretch of the imagination but he was solid as was the D. Desharnais look good in his debut, only coughed the puck up once that I saw, on to the shark tank tomorrow.

Meh game they should have won. When they dominate a legitimate playoff contender I’ll be more satisfied.
