Default Firearms/Fishing Question

If someone had his PAL taken away by the courts and received a lifetime prohibition on owning firearms, can he still get a WIN and a fishing license?

True . . . but I think I remember something on my WIN application that asked about firearms prohibitions. I just told #1 son's dad to get a fishing license so he can take his kid fishing, and then I remembered that question on the WIN application.

True but ya can still hunt without a PAL or POL. Just not with a firearm. And the plot thickens.

I guess we'll find out if he does attempt to get a fishing license. The only problem if he can't get one is that I'll have to listen to him whine and moan about the "evil government." At least his wife would bear the brunt of it . . . Should I warn her? Nah. (I do really like her)

There are 2 parts to the WIN application, just have him fill out the general part of the form. This applies to the fishing part,do not have him fill out the hunting part of the application. That is where the gun restriction/licence prohibition question is asked. If all he wants is a fishing licence,he will not have any problems.

Depends. Is he planning to fish with a firearm?
