Fire the coach, make a big trade, the season is toast, won't even make playoffs. This is getting good

While this fan, like everyone else is wondering what the heck is going on. I suspect we may not finish first or second at the end of the season due to this poor start, but we will get into the playoffs quite easily. Time will tell.

I see Cam Talbot had a pretty good game last night. Hes rocking a 2.04 GAA in 10 games thus far..

I remember when we traded him for Stolarz... LMAO

Hopefully Picard gets the start tonight for us against the Sharks. Be nice to see some effort from someone hungry to be in the show.

Come on Drai!!!

You’re better than that. Double teaming a guy in the corner and then when you could have charged to the net and took out a sharks shot chance… you just saunter towards the net.

Sloppy. Lazy. Careless.

Result. Goal Sharks. Oilers 0. San Jose 1.

Bench the guy. He needs to put in the effort or warm the locker room up for guys that want to play.

Hard to believe. The oilers can’t do anything right now. They are the worst team in hockey right now.

Hard to believe.

I think wearing NDP orange jerseys are making the team have a lack of drive and motivation.

Should switch to UCP colours?

Thought that they hit rock bottom, but then someone threw down a shovel.

Long way until the playoffs, not my team, but go oil.

CHED 630: prank caller claiming he knows a guy who works in the maintenance department at the rink and the Soilers are turned off by the pro-Israel stance that the organization has taken and that some will be requesting trades.

LMAO!

Soft world. Players don’t get benched anymore. Look how long it took for Huberdeau to get a time out? Skinner would have been in the minors back in the day after getting pulled 4 times in one playoff season…..

OK....!
So Whoa!!..... Dis sure is a test of faith.

Just heard a coaching change is in the works.... AND....there's a goalie on the works...

But Foegle, or Kane, or Nuge and skinner might be the price.

Binnington....

Either way..... Ole Bessidog is predicting we make them playoffs.... go back to man on man 'old system and just plain work your man.
Zone D is NOT THAT HARd.... jus more outside pressure please.

Either way.. we'll be in. This is the dark part of the season... th elight will come.

We'll beat the Krack heads 5-2 tomorrow. Then bring on the rest.

re: Holloway.... I think we wrecked his brain.. he's just not panning out.... tie him up in a pkg and move him as a sweetener for the goalie and a D.

We'll get through this and into the playoffs...

and NO.. imma NOT changing the thread title. heh

I think that the Oil should have saved some plane fare yesterday and just bussed the boys over from Bakersfield instead. No idea what it will take to turn the team around, but another coaching change shouldn't be the default solution.

I think that the goaltending is fine, not great but fine. Almost every puck that went past them this year was due to abysmal defensive play by both defensemen and forwards. Not very confidence inspiring for the tenders. Edmonton's system sure does a good job of wrecking goalies, until they play for someone else that is.

Considering the size of some of the d-men, the entire lineup is softer than a pack of Charmin toilet paper. Nurse needs someone on the team to hook up with his sister again, maybe that will light a fire under him. Desharnais plays like a huge first year Midget player that has his gloves on the wrong hands and has absolutely no idea what to do with his size, back to Bakersfield for him. Bouchard is playing like he did in his rookie campaign, time to put the big boy pants on Evan. Ceci is not NHL caliber. Any toughness that Ekholm had disappeared as soon as he took off his Preds jersey. Kulak is what he is.

As for the forwards, the only one that puts in a consistent effort is Hyman. The other three that do most of the scoring aren't scoring, and the second/third/fourth line do what they usually do (skate around, sometimes with the puck sometimes without), so no real surprises. Lots of shots this year, but no thought going into when they're taking the shots and where they're taking them from. It's almost like they're waiting to shoot until the crowd is yelling "shooooooootttt", which is usually the wrong time to shoot, lol.

Pretty laughable season thus far.

I blame the carbon tax. Or the gun bans. Time for the Emergency Act and freeze some bank accounts. If that doesn't work, break out Stompy the Horse.

It's a good thing they don't start hockey games with a coin toss, cause they'd lose that too!

Clearly you don't understand Hamasmontonians. The blame rests solely on Smith, Poilievre, Harper, and the colonizers (nazi white supremacist rural Alberta farmers).

There just mad that they didn't have the number 1 pick again last year and missed out on Bedard making sure they don't make the same mistake again this year.

It is very obvious that the other 31 teams are just overachieving....
