Default Magpie trapping

So I started baiting magpies with dry cat food about a week ago for the purpose of trapping them. Once I had birds regularly coming to my bait I placed an 8'×4'×4' old chicken pen over the bait with a wire funnel at ground level for the magpies to get in. The next morning I caught 8 wthin a couple hours, killed 7 and left one in as a call bird over night. This morning I couldnt see my call bird so I went to check it out and found coyote tracks and feathers everywhere. I guess I will be trapping coyotes now too lol. Just thaught I would share this experience so anyone with magpie problems can see how easy it is.

Lol looks like you've gotta set up bigger traps. Do you need a licence for trapping magpies?
