The metal to wood gap on this gun was done for accuracy reasons, it's one of the little tricks I learned to do when accurizing a No.1.

Yeah, but the gap around the pivot point isn't equal. I'm starting to look at things much closer and becoming much more demanding. You did it Cat, don't blame me. I never was so demanding....you're to blame.

I personally think less is more. A browning 625 or beretta silver pigeon is a thing of beauty.
Some of the bulino style engravings jump headlong into vegas-esque red velvet tackiness.
Some good examples of the tackiness here (and some tasteful examples as well). A naked woman with leopards and tigers? Really?

I think he was referring to the link he posted, not this thread... but yes, it wasn't exactly clear what he meant when he said "Some good examples of the tackiness here".

I had to edit: The female body is a thing of beauty, real men admire it, desire it, that my friend is the way that God made us. Otherwise, we'd be swimming in a pool of sh1t.

Wait for the image to come back around in the engravings. There does seem to be a receiver in there with a woman and some big cats.
Gorgeous works of art in there, some I would never buy for fear of mistreating or damaging them. Absolutely amazing work that I am forever envious of the talent it took to create it.

So I did watch thru the whole thing. Amazing art work. But, still not understanding why a women's face or body would be so disturbing to him....unless of course. Well in this day and age it's different. Yeah, I don't roll that way. The female form is God made for a good reason, and I'm a huge fan.

Laser engraved, made in Japan.....won't outshoot a Savage. Good try, but cheap crap no matter how much gold you pound into it. A cheap repro of what masters used to craft. Don't even try to match those fakes against what master gun makers of the turn of the century used to make. Weatherby's in my humble opinion are no more than a copy or a wannabee. let the battles begin?.....

Well, they may be laser engraved and electoplated, but they ARE nice to look at.
I'm not even going to touch the Savage accuracy statement !!

Here, take a look at the side lock of my Westely Richards then, maybe it will calm your nerves a bit!!
This is not a higher end gun, even though it is a Westly Richards, and it has had some rough times, but it is my goto gun for upland!
Here's a close up of the damascus barrels.

Im not to sure where that one was made?
I know my 300 wby was built in germany,by sauer.mark xxII semi auto in Italy by beretta.mark xxII 17hmr germany,by anschutz and my 240 & 270wby are from the usa, same country as my 3 cooper rifles were built.
In all honesty I like the whitetail buck on the floorplate and love the Timber, but im not a fan of there engraveing on the rest of that rifle.

Some of the old engraved winchesters are serious eye candy.

We're could a guy get his bottom metal engraved with a scene like that sheep and not have to take out a second mortgage?

Sorry I wasn't clear. I was in a hurry when I replied to the thread. Women aren't offensive to me. Never said they were. I don't like over the top tackiness. Nicely done or not. Clearly you do.
Not sure how that translates into you questioning my sexuality in what I'm taking as a classless personal attack.
And I won't hold my breath waiting for an apology for this garbage. I will report you to the mods tho. Maybe they can get the message through your thick skull.
