Default New years day shooting!

It was a balmy 0 degrees today, so SDVC and i decided to hit the range and hand throw some clays, as our trap range is closed until Spring.
GREAT weather and a tremendous time, We tried out my Band and Sons 20 and of course the 40th Annivesaire 16 got a work out, and SDVC got to bust some clays with his brand new best quality Ugartechea in 28 and a very nice older Berreta SXS in 12.
Cat

Ran out of clays however or we would have stayed longer!!

Wish I could've come along! Just a few too many miles away!

It was a fantastic afternoon even with a hard hard!
Be burned up about 150 hand thrown clays - I might just invest in an electric for the winter time.

Cat,
How did you get in.......with the snafu around the swipe cards was told they would not be active until late this week, and nobody could tell us if old keys would work.

Had made plans with the boys, built up some brownie points with the boss by watching the kids most of the weekend, but by the time you could buy a membership was told 3 days delay to activate card...which is Thursday, and I've got to go back to work tomorrow

Looks like you had fun....envious. Guess we should have taken the risk and just drove out.

Default We brought in the New Year also

On the firing line...I really like this photo:

No hand throwing here:

Gage. Little dude did very well with little Mossberg 410. 3 consecutives clays and if doesn't even fit him. Got to get him a single shot 20ga or 410 for youths or something I can chop down.

Oh! lookee here what we found on the way to the shoot, in most peculiar place to boot. The start to a great day.

SDVC bought his swipe card from Sue Minns the other day, no sweat!

I knew I should have taken the time to drive to her house instead of going to OE 6 times in 3 days....poor staff were probably sick of having to give same story over and over again.

Oh well, suppose to be 0 c on Thursday....vacation day maybe.

those are some wicked pics git! notice wade, the first shooter on the 'line', his finger is off the trigger. he was borrowing my bt99 with release trigger and just smashed a clay.
was a great day, i think gage would have bust more, but he was frozen.
git, i was thinkin instead of a 410 for him, we should look for a semi in 20 guage, lee

Darn Lee, I didn't know that was a release trigger. Would have liked to try that, oh well...next time. Yeah, I was thinking maybe a 20 ga for Gage also. Was checking out the single shot H&R on WSS website when I got home. They might kick a bit more thought, a semi might be a better choice. Got to see what we can come up with. Thanks for thinking of doing this today Lee. And to think I had planned a day in the office to catch up. Sure was nice getting out with the boyz.
