Default Savage axis

Hello all,
My son has a savage axis ss 30-06. We would like to upgrade scope mounts and rings from what came with package.
Looking for information on models available for this gun. I’m a Talley fan but can’t seem to find if they are available.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

I put a set of talley light weights on my kids axis compact, I'm not 100% but I think the model that fits the savage 110 is the one that works for the axis. The wife has a set of leupold on hers so both are an option.

Thank you king rat. I will look into the savage 110 Talley option.

Savage Axis bases are not interchangeable with Savage 110 bases. For best range of scope adjustment get Burris XTB bases for Axis. (Or a rail, but those are usually higher).

I picked up a Savage Axis in 223 for cheap freehand practice. My suggestion is also putting in a Timney trigger. Amazing improvement over factory.
